Irish Interior Design Tips

There is a few simple steps which you can take to make the most of your space.

Interior Designers will move furniture out from the walls. If you're inventive with some of the angles you position your furniture and by being clever you can make narrow rooms look wider and give smaller rooms the appearance of space.

By painting one wall a darker colour that is different to the others it will add depth to the room, decorate the wall with your favourite painting or piece of furniture. Choose complementing colours with the wall for furnitute and fabrics

Green up the room with plants, not only do they freshen up the room, they can really add to the feel of the room. The choices are many but make sure you buy plants that look good in your home but survive too, by placing them in lighted areas can help.

Carpets and Rugs are a classical way of enhancing your room, bare floors are often boring, so by placing a quality rug underneath a table can really help your room.

Pictures and mirrors can be a nice way to express your tastes and personality, use a variey of frames to reflect your personality. Try posistioning mirrors to reflect a particular feature or space to add a sense of room.

If you have some collectibles you should display these, try and group them together in a general theme, i.e. African figures and African themed carvings. Use varying shapes and sizes.

Using new interesting lamps as old lamps can make your room look tired and the light might not light the room to its best advantage.

Interior Designers often use throws along side decorative pillows adds textures and patterns to a room. They can make couches look pretty and alive. This can sometimes save you from having to buy a new couch.

The final tip would be to avoid clutter, to much can elimate the intended design of the room and spoil the intend mood you were looking for.

So dont over have clutter, incorporate storage space into your design, i.e. an old trunk can be used to store papers, toys etc...
